I am speaking for myself and Ellie when I say that we throughly enjoyed the trip to Cuba. The Jewish experience, the teaching by Professor Berk and the mixing with the Cuban culture and communities was what we were expecting and it is what we received. –Paul G. Chella

The tour was excellent! I’ m so glad I went. The highlight for me was Havdalah at the Ashkenazi Synagogue in Havana. We really connected with the people, who were vibrant. It was an honor to met David in Santa Clara. He is doing so much with so little. It is a warm and inviting but very small community. Overall it was a great experience and sharing it with many people who went from acquaintances to friends. Thanks for everything, -Susan G.

Our trip was absolutely extraordinary! Our guides, Bill and Eric were amazing! It was a powerful experience filled with the reality of living in a communist country as well as seeing the resilience of people coping with difficulties. I particularly enjoyed our wonderful connections with the Jewish community! Meeting them, attending services with them, sharing kiddush meals were incredibly moving!  – Tiby L.

Evan and I just got home from a spectacular week in Cuba. All of the arrangements were perfectly scheduled but I really want you to know that our tour guide was a tremendous asset to our trip. He was so knowledgeable, well spoken, and kind. His depth of information and command of the English language and its slang kept us engaged every day. The Cuba trip was fantastic!  The group was exceptional, which made the entire experience very special.  Eliana, the Cuban tour guide, was remarkable.  Her knowledge of Cuban history as well as the Jewish Cuban history and experience was very impressive.  Great trip….highly recommend it overall. – Anki W.
